Track Teams Compete At Freeburg

Kiner Wins triple Jump

The Chester boys’ track team placed sixth at the Freeburg Invitational on April 8 with 38 points.

Keith Kiner III won the triple jump and 400, took fourth in the 200 and placed sixth in the long jump.

Aiden Jany was second in the 400, fifth in the 200 and sixth in the 100.

The 4×400 relay of Gage Garniss, Matt Korando, Nathan Fricke and Justin Clendenin was also second.

Trent Bierman was fifth in the 3200 and tenth in the 1600.

Korando was seventh in the high jump. Jacob Cowell seventh in the pole vault. Caleb Parker was seventh in the 100.

Tyler Holm was eight in the discus.

Placing ninth were Avery Carpenter, 110 hurdles; Connor Wolff, 300 hurdles; and Jordan Hughes, 800 and 1600.

The Chester girls’ track team placed 18th at the Freeburg Invitational on April 9 with 10.5 points.

Josie Kattenbraker took 3rd in the 300 hurdles, 7th in the 100 hurdles and ninth in the high jump.

The 4×800 relay was seventh and the 4×400 relay was eighth.
