Chester Boys Win Rocky Bridges Meet

Justin Clendenin finishes the anchor of Chester’s winning 800 sprint relay.

The Chester boys’ track team won the Rocky Bridges Invitational on April 17 at Chester with 174 points.

Chester won eight events to win the nine-team meet on its home track.

Keith Kiner III won the triple jump and long jump, took second in the 400. and placed third in the 200

Aiden Jany won the 200, 400 and 100.

Gage Garniss won the 110 hurdles and took second in the 300 hurdles.

Jacob Cowell won the pole vault with Justin Clendenin second. Clendenin was fifth in the long jump.

The sprint medley relay also won.

Matt Korando was third in the high jump. Tyler Holm third in the discus and fifth in the shot put.

Jordan Hughes was third in the 1600 and fourth in the 800.

Trent Bierman was fourth in the 3200 and seventh in the 1600. Caleb Parker fourth in the 100. Colin Wingerter was fifth in the triple jump. Connor Wolff was seventh in the 300 hurdles and Avery Carpenter eighth in the 110 hurdles.

The 4×200 relay was second, 4×100 relay second, 4×400 relay third and 4×800 relay third.

The Chester girls’ track team placed fifth at the Rocky Bridges Invitational. Althoff won the meet.

Josie Kattenbraker won the 300 hurdles and the 100 hurdles and took fourth in the high jump.

Lauren Soellner was second in the high jump and third in the triple jump.

Hannah Blechle was third in the pole vault and Melody Colonel fourth.

Peyton Clendenin was seventh in the long jump and Shelby Roth eighth. Roth was tenth in the 200.

Samantha Eggemeyer was eighth in the shot put, Alyssa Seymour was ninth and Maddison Kribs placed tenth in the 1600.

Chester was fourth in the 4×400 relay, fifth in the 4×200 relay and the 4×800 sprint relay and sixth in the 4×800 relay.
