The Chester cross country teams competed in the Marissa 6 Meet Sept. 15 at the Marissa Rec Area.

In the boys’ race, Chester placed fifth with 97 points. Columbia won the race, followed by Okawville, First Baptist Academy and Marissa.

Jordan Gregory finished sixth in a time of 19:09. He was followed by Jacob Handel, 19th, 22:11; Jordan Hughes, 23rd, 22:35; Blake Farmer, 24th, 22:43; and Trace Fricke, 26th, 22:50.

The Chester girls were fourth with 92 points. Columbia won the race, followed by Okawville and Marissa.

Josie Kattenbraker finished 14th in 26:48. She was followed by Hannah Blechle, 17th, 28:37; Madison Kribs, 18th, 28:41; Josalynn Anaya, 20th, 30:48; and Katie Shinabarger, 23rd, 33:19.
