Football spectator guidelines have been announced by Chester High School Athletic Director Jeremy Blechle.
“The main priority for CHS is to accommodate the family members of our student-athletes as well as our community at all CHS football games,” Mr. Blechle said.
Currently, the IDPH/IHSA mitigations for gathering limits is set at 20% capacity.

“Chester is very lucky to have the venue of W.O. Smith Field and the ability to maximize capacity,” he said.

The plan is to allow 1,000 family and community members into the facility. 150 guaranteed tickets/vouchers will be distributed to the members of the school’s varsity FOOTBALL, BAND, CHEER, and DANCE teams.

“The cost of the 150 tickets/vouchers will be covered by the school district to say thank you for working with us through this difficult year,” Mr. Blechle said.
The Black Diamond Conference has agreed that 100 tickets will be sold to the visiting teams.
Wearing a Mask and Social Distancing will be a requirement for all football games. Spectators will NOT be screened for temperature before
being admitted into the stadium at W.O. Smith Field. Community spectators will purchase and obtain their tickets at the gate.
Admission Price:
Adults & All Students = $3
Babies-in-arms = Free
The Black Diamond Conference will not cap underclass games.
All underclass home games will be free to enter.
All tickets/vouchers will be paid for at the ticket booth during entry.
No reserved seating will be sold this year.
Small children policy on ticket/voucher.
Babies-in-arms are free admission and do not need a ticket/voucher.
CHS will be allowed to sell 100 tickets/vouchers for all away varsity contests. These tickets will be reserved for family members of the
varsity football and cheer teams. The cost of each ticket will be $3.
Families of underclass football can travel to away games while following all mitigations and guidelines per the IDPH/IHSA.
Underclass Games
All games at CHS will be livestreamed on its NFHS Network and will be free for the remainder of the school year.

“Keep in mind that certain schools who use the NFHS Network will require a small fee to watch their game,” Mr. Blechle said
For home games, the gates will open 45 minutes before the game begins.
The eastside gate will be the only gate to enter and exit the games. The visitors (westside) gate will NOT be used as an entrance
this year.
Currently, concessions will not be sold. This may change as the season continues.
