Chester beat Wesclin Sept. 24.

The Chester Yellow Jackets dominated Wesclin on both sides of the ball in posting a 48-6 win Sept. 24.

Chester gained 461 total yards and held Wesclin to 94, including -10 yards rushing. The defense registered four turnovers, including three interceptions.

Chester built a 14-0 lead after the first quarter. Ethan Stumpe connected with Jordan Merideth on a 64-yard touchdown pass. Isaac Jany scored on a 15-yard run.

After Jacob Cowell forced a fumble, Merideth scored on a 62-yard run in the second quarter. Stumpe and Merideth connected on a 19-yard TD pass and Chester built the lead to 34-0 on a touchdown by Cooper Eggemeyer.

Merideth scored on an 18-yard run in the third quarter. William Schuwerk closed out the scoring on a 51-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Stumpe threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns. Merideth rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He also had two receiving TDs. Eggemeyer caught four passes for 38 yards and a TD.

Cowell had 4.5 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Isaac Jany had six tackles, including 2.5 tackles for losses and 1.5 sack. Matt James had two tackles for losses and a sack.
