Alyssa Seymour, Chester High School senior, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Southwestern Illinois College.

Seymour was an honorable mention selection on the Associated Press All-State Girls Basketball Team.
Seymour was on the Class 2A team. Only 125 players were named to the teams spread across Illinois’ four basketball classes.

Seymour was also named to the All-South team. She was also the MVP at the annual Lions Club All-Star game.

Seymour averaged 16.5 points per game and 13.3 rebounds. She pulled down 386 rebounds and ended her career with 843, both school records. In 2021-22, Seymour recorded 24 double-doubles.
