Lady Jackets Second In Conference


Hannah Blechle won the conference pole vault title.

The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets took second in the Illinois Division of the Cahokia Conference at the track meet May 3 and 4 in East Alton.

With all three divisions competing at the same time, it took awhile to sort out the final results. But once the dust settled, Chester was alone in second with 134 points. Wesclin won the division with 179 points.

Hannah Blechle won the pole vault. Jazzi Meredith was second in the 100 hurdles, third in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the high jump.

Kailyn Absher was second in the long jump, fourth in the 100 and fifth in the shot put.

Gianna Eggemeyer was second in the 400 and sixth in the 200.

The 4×200 relay also took second.

Paige Vasquez was third in the 100 hurdles and fourth in the triple jump.

Mabry Wingerter was was fourth in the high jump and registered fifths in the 400 and triple jump.

Also earning fourths were Emma Eggemeyer in the shot put, Briley Miles in the discus and Bethany Baughman in the pole vault.

The 4×100 and 4×400 relays each finished third. The 4×800 relay was fourth.

Jazzi Merideth was second and Paige Vasquez (second from left) third in the 100 hurdles.
