This school year, we have had three new additions to the CHS staff. This includes Mrs. Ray, Mr. Conley, and Mrs. Gibbs. I have gotten the chance this week to interview both Mrs. Ray and Mr. Conley.
They were asked: “What classes do you teach?”, “What schools did you teach before CHS?”, “How long have you been teaching?”, and “What is your favorite thing about teaching?”
Mr. Conley teaches Geometry, Quantitative Literacy, and Athletic PE. He has been teaching for 10 years. Before coming to CHS, he worked at Meridian Jr./Senior High and Sparta Lincoln Elementary and Middle School. When asked what his favorite thing about teaching was he responded: “Watching students find success from their struggles” (Conley).
Our other addition to the CHS staff is Mrs. Ray. Mrs. Ray has worked here at CHS before in the years 2009-2017. She now teaches English 3 and 4, for Juniors and Seniors. In total, Mrs. Ray has been teaching for nine years including this year. When asked what her favorite thing about teaching is she responded “The students with their fun, vibrant, and full-of-life personalities” (Ray).
