The W. O. Smith Field, where all home football games are played at Chester High School, has acquired a new sign that shows game scores and plays. Compared to the older sign, this one has a much larger screen that is easier to see at night. Many are glad to see this new sign be added to the field, as it allows for easier viewing of the game and its scores.
Here’s what Mr. Blechle had to say about the video board.“This is going to completely change our relationship with the community and for the better. Big thanks goes out to the facility and grounds committee school board members, Mrs. Briggs and the school board for seeing and believing in the vision and making this all possible. Also, for all the hard work our maintenance and janitorial staff has done to help get this installed.”
Not only will the screen be used for football games, but it will also be used to show movies and host other events. The new sign provides many new opportunities for the school and our community, and many are glad to see it completed.
This isn’t the only sign that was recently added to CHS, though. There has also been a sign added near the entrance of the school to replace the old sign. This new one displays upcoming events and announcements. Both of these signs are sure to improve CHS and our community.
