The CHS Social Science Club took a field trip to Rend Lake College, on Thursday, November 2nd, in Ina, IL. Schools all over Illinois were able to bring 4 seniors to this event.

The trip was organized by teachers Jackie Clendenin and James Juenger. The four seniors from CHS who were on this field trip were Mabry Wingerter, Garret Hopkins, Jordan Buskohl, and Lucas Thompson.

There they met with Senator Terri Bryant and other politicians to do prep work for another future visit with Senator Bryant. They then split into small groups to discuss possible legislation they would like to see in the future. After discussing this, everyone got back together in a big group to vote on one idea to take to Springfield in April to discuss.
