Timothy Ward is a member of the CHS E-Sports Team. He joined the team because, “I played Mario Kart on the DS, and I was told that I could play Mario Kart in E-Sports.  His favorite video game, “is Dragon’s Dogma. It’s an old game. It’s a third-person medieval game set in a fantasy world. The main storyline revolves around you killing a dragon that took your heart.”

The team plays competitive video games against other schools across Illinois. He has played Pokemon Unite, League of Legends, and Valorant for the team. “I would say that no two days are ever alike. One day you could be enjoying your peace and quiet, and then the next you’re stuck in a storm of chaos.” Ward said.

Ward’s favorite part of E-Sports is the ” randomness … Everything is just chaotic, and I love it.” He stated he would choose Dauntless if he had to play one video game for the rest of his life. “It’s a fantasy-style game where you hunt down and kill giant mutated creatures. It’s a game where you can go on any server and find at least one person who is willing to talk to you.”
