Album #1: Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie
Favorite Song: Living Dead Girl
Notes: Hellbilly Deluxe is a class heavy metal album that I grew up listening to. I am such a huge Rob Zombie fan so I just had to cover it on here. I truly struggled to pick a favorite, but “Living Dead Girl” just has to be the best one in my opinion.
Album #2: Pinkerton by Weezer
Favorite Song: Why Bother?
Notes: This was a suggestion from Hannah Stueve. There’s a good reason why this album is so popular and loved by many. A good emo rock album with some good hits on it. I wasn’t sure about this album after hearing the opening song, but the album just kept getting better the more I listened to the other songs.
Album #3: 27 Demos by Margo Guryan
Favorite Song: The Hum
Notes: A stunning jazz/folk album, Margo sings about a plethora of topics in one of her most popular albums, ‘27 Demons,’ released in 2001. I fell in love with this album the first time I heard it years ago, and it is still one of my all-time favorites. This is such a calming album, and very different from the other 2 albums on this list.
