Sgt. Newton, from Sparta National Guard, came to visit the students on Feb. 9th, at Chester High School during PE.
Sgt. Newton is the Recruitment Officer out of the Sparta National Guard office. He has served six years in the National Guard as a heavy equipment specialist using machines such as bulldozers, front end loaders, scrapers, and many more. He just relisted for another 4 years. The kids had a great time getting to learn about the national guard and playing archery tag.
