CHS held a College and Career Exploration day in Colbert Gymnasium from 9:30-11:00 on Friday March 22nd. There were be over 45 representatives from military,colleges and local businesses. This was a day the seniors were not required to attend school, but were expected to participate in other ways. Such as, attend CHS College and Career Fair, work on their resume, do a college visit or possible future employer.
Senior and parents visited anytime between 9:30-11:00. Freshmen and Sophomore will attend after they are done with testing for the day between 11:00-11:45. Juniors will get to visit from 11:45-12:45. Students who attend and visit at least 3 participants will have a chance to enter to win various raffle prizes such as gift cards. There was also be a mini fridge to be raffled off that was donated by one of the participants for the Seniors only. There was a cooler, gift cards, gift baskets, and tumblers from local businesses and schools that were also raffled off.

For students that are undecided this was a great opportunity to see possible options for the future and meet some of the local businesses that are hiring. All the students enjoyed learning about what kinds of schools are in the area.
