CHS Special Olympics athlete, Leslie Asbury, competed in spring games at Herrin High School on April 19. She placed second, winning a silver metal, in the 100 meter dash. Asbury beat her personal record finishing 0:29.35 seconds. She also placed second in the mini javelin throw with a distance of 4.0 meters. Special Olympics CGS and CHS Chester Champions are coached by Mrs. Gonzalez and assisted by Carrie Herrell.
