Chester FFA members traveled to SIUC to participate in COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training School), on September 10th. Some of the activities were being blindfolded and having a person you do not know lead you around and cheering on a team that beat them in a game.
The members rejoyed traveling to SIUC, meeting new people, eating pizza and learning more about FFA. Along with doing team building activities, the students also go to meet 5 Illinois major state officers along with the 5 district 5 section presidents, and 630 fellow FFA members to improve their leadership skills and bring new ideas back to their high school. These individuals are ready to move the Chester FFA to new heights.
The FFA members are working on organizing fundraisers to help buy trees or plants in hopes to build a greenhouse during Earth Day.
Keep up the good work Liam Holland, Jaxson Thompson, Mackenzie Studt, Zoey Tucker, Tim Ward, Brandon Perry, and Caitlyn Hargis.
