Since 2021, the CHS Creative Writing Circle led by Miss Rana Hodge has been seen as an informal extracurricular for students. Students can join this circle to continue to work on their writing, share it with others, and even get some of it published.
Successful stories include:
Nico DeGuzman going to state for Poetry Out Loud
Brooklyn Webb and Tia Martinez for TeenInk Editor’s Choice Publishing
Chace Murphy published work in Appeley Poetry
Meetings are held monthly to share their writing between students and to select monthly poetry competition winners. The next meeting will be held after school on October 7th.
Students that enjoy writing are encouraged to join the Creative Writing Circle!
