There are many directions to go in for an 80s themed costume, but the common factors in these costumes are big hair, bright colors, and shiny materials! Clothing items you may see in 80s costumes are puffer jackets, leg warmers, scrunchies, colored tights, blazers, and bandannas, although you may or may not see all of those items in the same costume.
Characters related to the 80s you could dress up as are Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Barbie from the Toy Story franchise which is very much 80s adjacent, and the Heathers from the Heathers film and musical!
