She sits,
waiting,
for her captors to come.
She does not fight,
merely accepts,
powerless,
hopeless.
As she sits in a white room,
devoid of color,
empty,
she starts to cry.
Because no one will help her.
Everyone she knew
shrugged her off to the
next person first chance they got.
She waits and feels the take over happen,
a brain-controlling,
life-altering parasite,
eating away at her brain,
defenseless, she lets it feast.
Her friends are concerned,
how distant she’s become,
but they don’t know,
the hell she’s stuck in.
