War Thunder is a free to play game and can be played on X-Box, Playstation, and PC.
In war thunder you can choose a nation to play and fight with other nations in tanks battles, Air battles, or on the water if you like big boats and big guns. The nations are as follows: America, Germany, Russia or USSR, Great Britain, France, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Japan, China, and Israel. The time period of the nations is from 1906 to 2019. The oldest vehicle in the game is the HMS Dreadnought, made in 1906 and the most modern is the Z19-E made in 2017.
The game takes time and memorization to learn the weak spots on tanks and it takes skill to play. The nation you choose makes a big difference in play style, America (best nation in game) is for well balanced tanks, Germany requires patience as you have bulky tanks and long range guns, Britain is fast and is a hit and run, USSR is for people who want to be biased and have an unfair advantage in the game, France and Italy is for the players who like to rage at the game, China is for people who want the best of all worlds, Japan rules the air but suffers in tanks, and Israel is for the players that like playing America, but can only be unlocked by playing America or UK.
Fun fact about War Thunder: every nation has at least 1 variant of the M4 Sherman, and Germany was the first to get the Sherman, in total, there are 36 Sherman variants, that’s a lot!
Also, War Thunder has its own YouTube channel, their long form videos are about the game and are actually serious, their shorts are just funny and they make memes, I love it. The War Thunder Wiki is the perfect place to go for choosing your vehicle and starting the game.
I HIGHLY recommend War Thunder because combined arms warfare is a perfect game theme 10/10.
