This month I read “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” by Holly Jackson.
It is about a girl named Pip. Pip is doing a project about this girl that went missing named Andie. Pip wants to figure out who the actual murder is. Everyone thinks it was Andie’s boyfriend Sal because he “admitted” to his father. She starts asking questions to the people closest to Andie and Sal trying to figure out if Sal is really innocent.
She was getting threatened by someone that had to be involved in Andie’s case. She just kept getting leads. They were all dead ends, nothing coming out of them. She got Sal’s interview with the police and it isn’t looking good for him. Pip isn’t allowed to talk to Andie’s family but that didn’t stop her from talking to one of Andie’s sister’s friends. She found out some secrets about Andie. How she did drugs and where she got them from.
Pip searched and searched to find the killer of Andie. It was Andie’s sister Becca that killed her on accident. She pushed her and Andie hit her head. Andie died from a head injury. Becca was so crazy she even tried to kill Pip. At the end Sal got his innocents back even though he was already gone.
