The CHS Scholar Bowl team just had their first tournament at Marion High School on Saturday, 16th. The team placed 2nd within the tournament!
Out of all five matches against DuQuoin, Marion, Trico, Galatia, and Hamilton County, Chester won all of the matches except against Marion, but they tried their best!

4th Round: Chester (110) vs Galatia (100)
Brodie Mattingly (3 tossups); Will Welge (2 tossups); Nico DeGuzman (1 toss up)

5th Round: Chester (190) vs Trico (90)
Nico DeGuzman, Brodie Mattingly (4 toss ups); Will Welge (2 toss ups)

Nico placed 5th for individual tossup questions by answering 14 tossup questions.

In conclusion, the team did great and congratulations to Nico for getting 5th place with 16 toss ups.
