Elaina Lutman has been playing volleyball for 7 years because it interests her. She states that her favorite memory is, “getting ready and feeling hype in the locker room before games were probably the best memories.” When asked about advice for future players she says, “Don’t worry about how skilled you are. Come in with a good attitude, communicate, hustle, and give everything you go.” After high school she plans on attending John A Logan college to play softball and study business and finance.
Olivia Earl has been playing volleyball for 8 years because “it sounded and looked really exciting.” Her favorite memory is, “all the times spent in the locker rooms before games, doing everyone’s hair, or joining club volleyball and meeting so many new people along with making a bunch of new friends.” Her advice to future volleyball players is, “Just do your best Ask for help and ask many questions. If you’re confused, ask about it and work hard because there is always someone working harder for your spot.” Earl plans on applying to the JAG program through the Air Force and becoming an attorney through them to either be a prosecutor, family or injury law.
Gianna Eggemeyer has been playing volleyball for the past 8 years because she “liked watching the sport and thought it would be fun.” Eggemeyer’s favorite memory was, “during my first year playing volleyball in 4th grade when I was the first person to hit the ball over the net and get a kill.” The advice she has for future players is, “Try to have confidence while playing and don’t get down on yourself when you make mistakes, remember everyone has errors!” Gianna plans to play college volleyball and study law to become a real estate or public interest attorney.
