All albums on this list have been recommended to me by Will Welge!
Album #1: Broke With Expensive Taste by Azealia Banks
Favorite Song: Chasing Time
Notes: I will say that the beginning portion of this album was definitely not my favorite, but after a few mediocre songs I truly got into the album. The majority of the music was very good and I loved the upbeat club vibe the music had. If you enjoyed “Brat” by Charli XCX, then you would definitely like a lot of the songs on here too. There is a reason why Azealia Banks is such a well known and loved artist, as her music is very fun and energetic.

Album #2: Desire, I Want To Turn Into You: Everasking Edition by Caroline Polachek
Favorite Song: Fly To You (feat. Grimes and Dido)
Notes: This album was definitely my least favorite of the three, as it felt like it was trying too hard to have that “thought daughter” type of vibe to it. I couldn’t really enjoy any of the songs, as they didn’t feel like songs you could add to a playlist but instead some try-hard basic poetry. I’m sure there are people who can listen to this album and actually connect with it, but personally I can’t. I will say that I did really enjoy the Grimes feature on “Fly To You,” and I definitely will be re-listening to that one song.

Album #3: Assemble 24 by Triple S
Favorite Song: Heart Raider
Notes: This K-pop album is so much fun and very cute. The album cover does not match the vibe the actual music has, as the songs have a very upbeat and an almost NewJeans vibe to it. Obviously K-pop is not for everyone, and it even took me a bit to find a style of K-pop that I like, but the style of this album is very much what I enjoy and I do recommend giving it a listen.
