Album #1: Rosie by Rosé
Favorite Song: 3am
Notes: The album “Rosie” has the popular Bruno Mars feature on the song titled “APT.,” so when going into this album I expected it to be much more upbeat and loud. That being said, the majority of the songs were much calmer and very sweet and the opposite of “APT.” which completely surprised me. I think this could throw people off depending on what they thought about “APT.,” but personally I loved this album. Most of the songs are centered around Rosé’s love life, and the writing and instrumentals are just so pretty and I absolutely adored the music. This has to be my second favorite album on this list!
Album #2: Maggot by Dazey and the Scouts
Favorite Song: Wet
Notes: This was my least favorite album on this list, but I do want to mention that I still liked it. I think the first half of the album is pretty good, but the second half just wasn’t my favorite. This sounded more like some random songs with the same genre were thrown onto one thing, instead of a cohesive album that had a lot of thought put into it. I still enjoyed it however, but I probably won’t be listening to the whole thing again, especially any time soon.
Album #3: Eusexua by FKA Twigs
Favorite Song: Perfect Stranger
Notes: “Eusexua” is my favorite album on this entire list, as the music was so dance worthy but still had thought and emotion put into them. I really enjoyed this one and if you decide to listen to any album off of this list, make sure it’s this one! I have never listened to FKA Twigs before now, and I truly was missing out because this album is just chef’s kiss.
