“Bring It On,” created in 2000, follows the story of Torrance, a newly appointed head cheerleader, who soon learns of the cheating ways of her old leader. As she strives to create a different narrative for the team while also remaining champions.
Throughout the movie, she struggles constantly with getting rid of the notion that the team are “cheaters.” In the end, she successfully changes the narrative of the team, and gets a boyfriend in the process.
I absolutely love this movie, it is a cheer classic, and the first in a long line of “Bring It On” movies to come. Its comedy, romance, and good message has created an amazingly easy watch. For those reasons, I give it a 9/10 and recommend it to anyone looking for something to watch.
