CHS held its annual Senior Night on Tuesday, February 18th. Six senior boys on the basketball team were present and showcased at the halftime game: Brenden Malley, Kolton Jany, Devante Palacio, Evan Dunning, Jack Heffernan, and Cayden Brunkhorst.
Two players were asked about their time on the basketball team. The two players were Jack Heffernan and Cayden Brunkhorst, and here are their responses:
First up is Jack Heffernan. He has been playing basketball ever since 3rd grade and simply decided to play on the school team because he just loved the sport! His favorite memories from all years of basketball include any time he has practiced and being able to joke with his teams. Heffernan’s advice for anyone wanting to try out for basketball is to “give 100% effort all of the time.” Thank you Jack for these great responses!
Next up is Cayden Brunkhorst. Cayden has been playing basketball for 13 years and wanted to join because he had fun playing basketball any chance he got. His favorite basketball memory was when he went all the way to California for the Phenom Basketball Camp. He says that if you wish to try out for the basketball team, then you need to try your best and give it your all. Awesome responses Cayden!
Thank you to the two players we got to interview. And good luck to all of the players after graduation! CHS will miss you all dearly.
