If you haven’t checked Instagram in the last two weeks, you may have not heard of the “World Record Egg.”

A picture of an egg was posted on Instagram on January 4, 2019; it was posted with one goal, to beat Kylie Jenner’s picture for the most liked picture on Instagram, at 18 million likes. The egg succeeded in taking the record, and now has nearly 1.5 times the amount of likes than Jenner’s picture. The egg, with more than 42 million likes, was the biggest thing on Instagram and is still currently receiving likes, securing the record even further.

Is there a picture that could top the egg’s like count that could soon be posted to Instagram, or will the egg stand its ground?
