In Mr. Page’s U.S. History classes, his students watched the movie “Glory,” created in 1989.
Glory is about the 54th Massachusetts regiment in the Civil War. The 54th Massachusetts regiment was an all black regiment which faced many problems along their way to war. Between learning how to be a soldier, to dealing with racism from commanders and other soldiers. The 54th eventually gained the respect of their fellow regiments by leading the charge on Fort Wagner.
Personally, I really enjoyed the movie, as many scenes were very powerful and eye opening to exactly what the 54th regiment had gone through. I rate this movie an 8/10 and would absolutely watch it again.
