Album #1: Bird’s Eye by Ravyn Lenae

Favorite Song: One Wish (feat. Childish Gambino)

Notes: “Bird’s Eye” is one of the perfect albums for summer nights. I enjoyed this album so much, and I believe more people should listen to it. I’m very interested in listening to some of Ravyn Lenae’s other music, due to how much I loved this album. The opening song is a little iffy, but after that one is when you start getting into the more fun music.

Album #2: Here Comes The Cowboy by Mac DeMarco

Favorite Song: Hey Cowgirl

Notes: I want to start this off by saying that I love Mac DeMarco’s music an insane amount. That being said, I did not like this album that much. So much of the music felt empty and didn’t really add anything to it. For the songs I did enjoy, they definitely had a good indie vibe to them. This album is a 50/50 of songs I enjoy and songs that I disliked.

Album #3: Saya by Saya Gray

Favorite Song: Exhaust The Topic

Notes: “Saya” started off with a very futuristic sound to it, and throughout the course of the album it became slower and more folk-ish. This album truly had a very unique sound to it and it’s one you wouldn’t typically hear from many other artists. I enjoyed this album a lot, and most of the artistic choices Gray made stuck with me after I listened to this album.
