Album #1: The Farm by Acacia Forgot

Favorite Song: Emerald Ocean

Notes: At the beginning of this very short EP, there was a very fun and exaggerated country vibe to this album, as it was very campy. However, right in the middle of this EP was “Emerald Ocean,” which made my jaw drop. I absolutely loved the soul and beauty of this song. It is amazing and you can truly understand how Acacia feels, as she puts you right in her shoes. I loved this EP so much, and I will most definitely be replaying it over and over again.

Album #2: At The Beach, In Every Life by Gigi Perez

Favorite Song: Sleeping

Notes: I had high hopes for this album, as some of the songs on here got very popular online, especially on TikTok, but I wasn’t in love with this like I expected. It was really dull and all of the songs sounded the same. I didn’t really feel moved by any of the music, and I don’t think Gigi Perez’s music is for me.

Album #3: Ta-Dah by Scissor Sisters

Favorite Song: Kiss You Off

Notes: This album was very nostalgic for me, as I remember a lot of these songs being what got me into alternative music. Now looking back at this, I wasn’t as blown away by it as I used to be. I liked some of the songs, but overall I don’t see myself replaying this album as a whole again.
