The majority of the senior class of 2026 attended the annual Senior Sunrise on Wednesday, August 13th. The sunrise began at 5:50 a.m., when the students were guided down to the football field bleachers. Along the way, many signs encouraged the students to stay positive this year, and orange and black friendship bracelets were distributed to anyone who wanted them. The students were then taken up into the bleachers, where photos were taken as they watched the sunrise. Then the seniors decided to go down and take group photos to remember the event.
The Senior Sunrise takes place every year to celebrate the beginning or end of the year for the senior class. This allows the first get together as a class, and is often hand in hand with the Senior Sunset, which is the last get together as a class before graduation.
The seniors who attended were Megan Zimmer, Kylie Hicks, Morgan Throop, Hayden Cartwright, Erin Liefer, Natalie Guetersloh, Derrius Shoemate, Jakon Stueve, Rylie Myers, Macy Bert, Emily Gruenewald, Lillian Diskey, Annah Helvey Ahring, Trevor Keeton, Jessica Stumpe, Southern LaChance, Gabriel Coffman, Lexie Mott, Camryn Wolff, Ethan Colvis, Maggie Caby, Kylie Kempfer, Trayton Peters, Riley Lochhead, Callie Davis, Jonathan Hayer, Aubrey Coleman, Alyssa Coffey, Gavin Wilderman, Addison Gottschammer, Olivia Vasquez, Peyton Dickson, Brayden Juenger, and Elizabeth Wilson.
The sunrise was all nicely put together by Callie Davis and her kind mother, Mrs. Bland, so if you attend, make sure to give them a big thank you!
