On Friday, August 29th 2025, Chester High School held a pep rally for the football players, golf team, volleyball, cheerleaders, dancers, and band members. At the pep rally, the band members played some of their game-night classics while cheerleaders and dance team joined in. Seniors Callie Davis and Southern LaChance led the assembly. During Southern’s speech, she explained how important the school song is – not only to students, but for the whole community. She also covered some gameday basic rules, regulations, and expectations. Callie and Southern recognized senior athletes and band members and the student body applauded each of them. The cheerleaders also taught their fellow students how to participate in the “we are fired up” cheer, which should make for an even louder student section this year!
By the end of the pep rally, each grade participated in a competition for the coveted spirit stick. Judges awarded the sophomores with the stick for their enthusiasm and loudness. Overall, it seems like all four grade levels are ready to rock this sports season and cheer on our student athletes.
