CHS SADD hosted a dress-up week, Monday, September 15 through 19th. It is meant to help prevent suicide and bring attention to resources for people. A few dress-up days had winners.
The winners are:
Monday: Don’t Sleep on your Mental Health, it’s important too! (Pajama Day) (Skyla Walker (1st) and Grace Kirkpatrict (Runner Up))
Tuesday: Team up and Fight Against Suicide (Twin Day) (Emily Gruenewalk and Grace Kirkpatrick (1st) and TaShawn and Kanon (Runner-ups)).
Wednesday: Show your support for National Suicide Prevention Day (Wear Teal & Purple)
Thursday: Battle it out together with your class (Wear Your Class Colors)
Friday: Unite together to help take down suicide (Wear Orange & Black)
Students and Teachers also got to enjoy a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors with beads. Basically, the rules were that students and staff could challenge each other to a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, and the winner got the beads. Blue beads were worth 2 points while purple beads were worth 1. The winner of the game was Zane Egggemeyer, winning with 100 points total.
