The CHS Writers’ Circle is launching NEW quarterly competitions for a variety of creative works! These include stories, essays, screenplays… even ART, film, & photography. The first competition is a collaboration with SADD and the CHS Art Club.
The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2025.
Our first theme is SELF CARE, or mental health. Curated selections will be posted on The Sting and published in CHS-made booklets (printed and online). Creative Quarterly booklets will be available for sale by The Writers’ Circle. Students with work in the booklets will get one for free!
Later competitions will be announced at the beginning of each quarter, and there will be a variety of themes for entrants to choose from. Individuals can be as creative as they like with their interpretation, formatting, and artistry. Competitors will have limitations in terms of language, images, and subject matter – rules and regulations are listed in the Google Form.
If you have any questions, feel free to come to Writers’ Circle meetings on Thursdays, after school in Miss Hodge’s room, and ask for help!
We are endlessly excited to see your submissions!
