Our Annual Powderpuff Game was held last Wednesday, October 8th. For those that don’t know, the Powderpuff Game is always highly anticipated by students and a huge part of our homecoming tradition. This is where girls take the places as football players while having boy coaches as well as boy cheerleaders. Each class consists of 24 players, 5 coaches, 12 cheerleaders, and a cheer coach.
Games are played Sophomores vs Juniors and Freshman vs Seniors. After these games, the winning teams will compete against each other to determine the official Powderpuff winner.
Each game has two halves that are ten minutes long including a two minute half time. The field is split into half from the 45-yard line to the goal post so two games are going on at once. The game is played similarly to flag football, each player has two flags around their waist and once one of the flags is pulled from the player who has the ball, the play is over.
