Victor was another close contender in the September Poem of the Month challenge. Props to Victor for his first entry! When asked to describe his poem, Victor said, “I really don’t know what I’m doing but I’m trying something new.” Well, Victor, we couldn’t tell! You write like a total pro!
Last Call
The clock ticks and ticks
Down to the millisecond
Weeks, Months, Years
Streaks of gray
Running behind ones ears
Where has the time gone?
Our childhood?
Heartbreaks?
The pain of heartaches?
Shoved away in memories
Kept away for centuries
Time is a human necessity
Unretrievable
But unforgettable
Time isn’t going to wait on you
So make most of it while you can
Find your truth like it hit you with a pan
