Josie Kattenbraker leaps for a return in the game against Trico.

The Chester Girls Volleyball Team defeated Goreville 25-20, 26-24 at Goreville.

Chester improved to 9-7, 4-1 in the Black Diamond Conference.

“Goreville kept us on our toes with their energy and hustle, but we managed to keep the ball up and kill it more often than not tonight,” Coach Norman said. “Lauryn Vasquez had her best game yet, utilizing her hitting and setting skills. Ashtyn Jany is also owning her libero role, allowing for more attempts to score. Kendall Williams continues to impress with her ability to assist in every play. Josie Kattenbraker and her smart moves keep us going when needed. All the girls are playing some solid ball for sure. We have a tough week ahead. I’m hoping this momentum continues!”
