Boys Place Two On All-Conference Team

The Chester boys basketball team won at home against Christopher 44-39 on March 8.
Two boys scored in the double digits: Jared Landeros 16 and Matt Korando 11. They were followed by Nate Hefferman 6, Jordan Hughes 4, Trace Fricke 4, Eli Hughes 2, and Gavin Schroeder 1.
It was a close game against Christopher, but the boys worked harder and ended up winning the game.

The Chester boys basketball team lost against Goreville 76-67 on March 5.
Three boys scored in the double digits: Jordan Hughes and Jared Landeros tied for the most points at 21 followed by Nate Hefferman 13. Korandoand Fricke each scored six.
The exciting game felt never ending, going back and forth scoring in the high 60s. In the second half alone the team scored 27 points.
The boys lost the rematch against Goreville 67-52 March 8.
Jordan Hughes led with 25 points, nailing three three-pointers. Korando was also in double digits with 11 points. Landerson and Heffernan scored five each, Chance Mott three, Fricke two and Eli Hughes one.

Chester ended the season with a 52-22 loss to Nashville, which was ranked sixth in Class 2A.

Landeros led Chester with 13 points. Jordan Hughes scored four. Schroeder and Mott had two each and Korando one.

Chester ended the season 9-6, 8-4 in conference play. Chester finished second in the Black Diamond Conference. Landeros and Jordan Hughes were named to the all-conference team.
