Instagram Messages Were Promotion, Not Threat
April 19, 2021
A series of Instagram message that surfaced this month with a Chester Yellowjackets logo was created as a promotion for an Alternative Reality Game (ARG) that the Sting will be sponsoring next October.
As ARGs often employ cryptic messaging, the tease for the October event was viewed by several people as threatening. The Instagram site, which was not associated with the Sting itself, has been disabled and further messages for the game will not reappear until next school year.

I hope everyone understand that MY post on Instagram has been deleted. The reason why I posted the video is because I thought the video I made was a joke and reference that my friends and I joked about a meme idea, which is a reference to the book “Of Mice and Men”, primarily the movie adaptation. The video clips I used were found ONLINE. The hands present in the video are not MY hands. The post in question had only but one thing to do with me, and is that I made the video, and that I posted the video. I understand now the consequences of my actions, but, there was NO REASON to drag on the entire situation for the whole week! It really upsets me, so please, stop calling me what I am not.
