Ethan Stumpe threw three TDs in Chester’s win over Christopher.

The Chester football team had their last game of the season against CZR, posting a 34-32 victory.

This was Chester’s Senior night. The team said their goodbyes to their seniors players
Devon Adams, Justin Clendenin, Nate Fricke, Hayden Gendron, Alex Gruenewald, Nate Heffernan, Tyler Holm, Eli Hughes, Daigen Hunter, Lucas Rader, Bradley Ruch, and William Sorto.

Dance Team: Juliet Abernathy, Taylor Cartwright, Alison Venus

In this thrilling game, five touchdowns were scored.

In the first quarter, Cooper Eggermeyer had a 31-yard pass from Ethan Stumpe, followed by a Jared Landeros extra point kick. In the second quarter, Jordan Merideth scored two touchdowns. His first receiving TD came on a 25-yard pass play from Stumpe. He also scored on a 70-yard interception return.

In the fourth quarter, Christopher rallied to take a 24-22 lead. Chester responded, though. Cooper Eggemeyer scored on a 30-yard pass from junior Ethan Stumpe. The last score was made by Jordan Merideth, who had a 51-yard run into the end zone.

With a 5-1 record, the Yellow Jackets say a last sad goodbye at the seniors’ last game of the year.
