Mrs. Appel is the newest FACS teacher at CHS. She understands that we are in a Global Pandemic (hopefully towards the end!), so her expectations for this school year are terribly high. She does want to get comfortable with the students and atmosphere of the school. She is looking forward to possibly bringing a photography club to the school!

In previous years,  she got a bachelor degree in psychology, but in the past ten years has focused more on domestic skills. She took both tests (social sciences and Home Economics) and received a higher score on the Home Economics. She started off at California State University and then moved to University of Missouri at St. Louis to get her teaching degree. This is her first year teaching. She is very excited to teach this year!

She was born and raised in southern California in LA County, moving uwhen she was 21. She went to Korea for 2 years where she met her military spouse. Then she moved back to the United States and lived in Colorado and then to Tennessee. They decided on Chester area because his family lives around here. She has 2 children, ages 9 and 5.

We are all looking forward to what she brings to our school!
