The Chester Yellow Jackets posted wins over Madison and Okawville this week.
In a home doubleheader with the Lady Jackets, the Chester Boys’ Basketball Team posted a 43-35 win over Madison on Jan. 27.
The Lady Jackets played Okawville prior to the Chester-Madison boys’ varsity game.
Jared Landeros led Chester with 17 points against Madison. Chance Mott scored nine points and Trace Fricke seven. Devante Palacio tallied four points and Gavin Schroeder and Lucas Thompson both nailed three-pointers.
Landeros poured in 24 points in a comeback win on Jan. 28 at Okawville.
Trailing 36-30 entering the fourth quarter, the Jacket defense held the Rockets to seven points for a conference road win.

Fricke added eight points. Palacio and Ethan Stumpe scored four points each, Eggemeyer three points and Mott two points.

The Jackets suffered a 47-43 loss at Carlyle Feb. 1.

Eggemeyer led Chester with 12 points. Schroeder scored nine points. Mott and Landeros netted eight points each. Fricke tallied four points and Palacio two.

Chester lost to Du Quoin 62-38 on Feb. 5.

Fricke led Chester with 15 points. Eggemeyer and Landeros scored eight points each. Thompson scored three points. Schroeder and Palacio netted two points each.
