Howie Sets School Assist Record

Senior Camrynn Howie set the school record for assists, but the Chester Lady Jackets lost to Gibault 50-44 on Nov. 29.
Howie’s seven assists gave her 199 for her career. She also scored four points. Jessica Stumpe led Chester with 22 points.
Aubrey Coleman scored five points. Emma Diskey and Camryn Wolff netted four points each. Jazzi Meredith and Riley Conley scored two points each and Lexie Mott converted a free throw.
The Chester Yellow Jackets girls’ basketball team went 2-2 to finish third in the Sparta Invitational.
Chester beat Steeleville 51-20 on Friday, Nov. 18, at Sparta.

Lexie Mott got player of the game for Chester, leading the team in points, Mott had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal. Jazzi Meredith also had a great game, Meredith had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 steals.
Camrynn Howie, who was named all-tournament, scored ten points, her third double-figure game of the tourney. Jessica Stumpe scored four points, Aubrey Coleman three, and Riley Conley and Emma Diskey two each.

The Chester Yellow Jackets girls’ basketball team lost to Red Bud 55-42 on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Sparta.
Stumpe got player of the game for Chester, Stumpe had 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals. Mott led the team in points and rebounds, having a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.Howie scored eight points and Diskey and Camryn Wolff netted three points each.
Howie and Diskey were named to the all-tournament team.

Chester opened conference play with a 55-42 loss at Wesclin. Lexie Mott led Chester with 22 points. Wolff scored six points, Howie four and Emma Diskey and Conley netted three each. Meredith and Lillian Diskey scored two points each.
