Jackets Defeat Red Bud At Home

The Chester Yellow Jacket Boys’ Basketball Team improved to 5-6 with a 48-47 win over Red Bud Dec. 16 at home.
Chance Mott led Chester with 18 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, as the Jackets rallied to win. Gavin Schroeder was also in double figures with 15 points, including five in the fourth quarter. Kolton Jany scored six points and Devante Palacio five points. Trace Fricke and Lucas Thompson tallied two points each.
The Chester Boys lost to Nashville 50-31 on Dec. 13.
Trace Fricke scored seven points to lead Chester. Chance Mott scored six, and Jacob Handel and Gavin Schroeder netted five each. Lucas Thompson tallied three points, Cayden Brunkhorst two and Devante Palacio one.
