Nashville Ends Lady Jackets’ Season

The Chester Yellow Jackets Girls’ Basketball Team ended its season with a 67-32 loss to Nashville in the regional opener.
The Lady Jackets ended their year with a 14-17 record.

Camrynn Howie led Chester with 18 points, including four three-pointers. Jessica Stumpe scored six points and Emma Diskey, Aubrey Coleman, Lillian Diskey and Lexie Mott netted three points each. Rylie Conley scored one point.
Chester hosted Senior Night on Feb. 8, defeating Lebanon 49-16 at home.
Senior Camrynn Howie was honored before the game. She holds the Chester record for assists in a season and assists in a game.
The Chester girls got out to a very early lead, going up 20 after the first quarter. The girls didn’t allow a single point to be scored in the second quarter. They continued this domination, helping lead them to a blowout win.
The Chester Lady Yellow Jackets Girls’ Basketball Team faced off against Wesclin at home on Saturday, February 4, losing 53-43.
Chester played a good first half, going into halftime down 3. A big 4th quarter from Wesclin stretched that lead and handed the Lady Jackets a 53-43 loss.
Camrynn Howie led the team in scoring with 21, followed by Lexi Mott with 10, Rylie Conley with 5, Jazzi Merideth with 3, Emma Diskey with 2, and Jessica Stumpe with 2.

The Chester girls played Sparta on Thursday, February 9th. The girls got down early and weren’t able to fight back into the game. Chester lost 51-35. This was the final girls’ game of the regular season.
The Lady Jackets will travel to Nashville for regionals at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.
