Welcome back everyone to the new school year! Once again the Sting will be uploading reviews for the top three best albums of each week. The albums could have come out at any date, so if anyone reading this has an album they would like to see on the Sting, make sure to email me with music recommendations!
Album #1: Brat (Deluxe)
Favorite Song: Von Dutch
Notes: Brat is such a fun and upbeat album with the occasional song of self-reflection, especially as a female, sprinkled in there. It’s a great album that truly shows the outlook on life that so many people have and also how harmful certain perspectives and ideas can be. I suggest that everyone takes a moment to listen to this album, whether you do it for the fun club music, or for the more serious music. A good album through and through with zero skips.
Album #2: Megan by Megan Thee Stallion
Favorite Song: Paper Together (feat. UGK)
Notes: Here’s another very fun and upbeat album, with zero skips. Megan Thee Stallion always makes fun albums, and is truly iconic in the music scene. I was so excited for this album to come out, and Megan Thee Stallion did better than I expected. Another 10/10 album!
Album #3: C,XOXO by Camila Cabello
Favorite Song: He Knows (feat. Lil Nas X)
Notes: This is definitely my least favorite album of the three, but it’s not horrible. There’s a handful of good songs on here, it’s just that sometimes the lyrics can be very questionable. I didn’t have the highest of hopes for this album, so I’m not too disappointed. I will be listening to the few songs I liked again.
