The senior Golf members were highlighted on the eighteenth of October at the varsity game against RedBud!
The four Golf players were Rylie Conley on the girl’s team, Noah Homan, Evan Dunning, and Max Blechle all on the boy’s team!
They were all asked a series of questions about their personal experiences with golf and what they plan on after graduation! Here are their responses:
Rylie Conley is the only senior on the girl’s team, and shes been playing since her freshman year! Rylie states that the reason she joined was because, “I had played golf a couple times for fun with my family prior to joining the team, and I really enjoyed it.” Rylie’s personal favorite memories regarding her golf experiences are the bus rides to and from matches! When asked if she had any advice to someone who wants to try out for golf, she says that as long as you’re willing to put in the effort, then you will get something out of the sport. Especially since this is an activity that you can do almost your whole life! After graduation, Rylie wishes to attend SWIC to study nursing.
Max Blechle is a senior member of the boy’s golf team, and has also been since his freshman year! The reason Max joined the team was just because it looked like fun, and his favorite memories are the mid-match chats with Coach Mott. Max says that if you want to join the golf team then you should definitely do it. Max states that joining golf was one of the best decisions he has ever made! Max plans on staying in Chester and farming after he graduates!
Our next golf senior is Evan Dunning! Evan has been on the golf team for four years and states that the reason he joined was because he was interested in the sport and he was determined to get better. He also said the other reason he decided to join the team was because he wanted to learn how to play golf with his friends. When asked what his favorite memory was, Evan couldn’t think of just one. So he decided to give his top five, which are, “My top three include the times we ate out after a match including the bus rides, When we won conference for the first time in fifty years my junior year, my other favorite memory is when we won regionals for the first time in school history my senior year. Another one of my favorite memories is when I got back to back all conference my junior and senior year, and also winning the County Cup back to back also my junior and senior year.” Evan even gave us some advice to anyone thinking about joining the team! He says that if you are interested, then you must have a very good mindset and be able to face adversity. After graduation, Evan wishes to go to college and play golf at his school!
Those are all the responses I got to the interviews, thank you so much seniors! We all wish you the best after graduation!!!
