Album #1: The Secret of Us (Deluxe) by Gracie Abrams
Favorite Song: Tough Love
Notes: I have never listened to Gracie Abrams before, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with this album. That being said, it was a very nice and bittersweet album. It is a breakup album, but don’t let that turn you off of it. It perfectly captures the different emotions one feels during those hard times. Going back and forth between sadness, anger, joy, jealousy, and every other emotion in between.
Album #2: The Great Impersonator by Halsey
Favorite Song: Letter to God (1974)
Notes: I’ve been so excited for this album to come out, as the promotions for it were amazing. Halsey’s music never disappoints, and this is no exception. I loved this album and the realness Halsey shows us here is so amazing and beautiful. Halsey opens up about being a mother, her illness, and her relationships with her partner and parents. I have nothing but respect for this woman, and the ability to be so open about her life is honorable.
Album #3: Chromakopia by Tyler, The Creator
Favorite Song: Noid
Notes: Not surprisingly, Tyler, The Creator made another 10/10 album. Every single song on here was amazing, and the story told from it is just chef’s kiss! I loved Chromakopia, and so does anyone else who is a fan of Tyler. I expected nothing less from this album. It was a great album and I highly recommend it.
