Chester High School’s only cheer senior, Callie Davis, was showcased during the annual football Senior Night for all fall sports. The game was between the Chester Yellow Jackets and the Nashville Hornets, and it took place on Friday, October 24.
The Sting had the chance to interview Davis about her time on the cheer team, as she has been a cheerleader since she was only three years old! She stated that the reason she initially joined the cheer team was because her mom was a coach for the Chester Stingers and she thought it would be fun to spend more time together.
When asked about her favorite memories from her time at CHS, Davis stated that winning the Powderpuff game her junior year is her most treasured school memory. Davis also reminisces on the most memorable cheerleading moment being when the team won the Alton Competition her sophomore year and going to state that very same year!
Once Davis graduates from high school, she plans on attending a four year college and majoring in elementary education. Everyone here at CHS wishes Callie the best after graduation and is proud of her time here at school!
